Sinotruk to set up factory in Taiwan
(chinatrucks.com, April 7, 2010) It is learned by reporter that a very special “mainland investment in Taiwan” is hold in Xilaideng hotel in Jinan, Shandong province. The responsible people of “mainland and Taiwan investment and exchange delegation” have sent the invitation to invest in Taiwan.
Zhang Yanming, the manager of economy and communication market section of Binzhou, said to the reporter, “We used to invite investment from outside, but we have been invited now”.
Auto and electronic information are the key industry of this investment invitation of Taiwan, according to the delegations’ communication. However, Sinotruk is to become the first Shandong enterprise to enter Taiwan market. Sinotruk observed and studied Taiwan market last year, and had a strong will to invest in Taiwan, and hoped to explore America market through the collaboration with Taiwan. As the largest truck manufacturing enterprise, Sinotruk’s overseas market are mainly in Middle East and Africa. Whereas, Taiwan auto industry can help Sinotruk comply with American regulation of 2010, and hit American market by the network established by Taiwan industry.
