Foton to establish European headquarter
(chinatrucks.com, June 29, 2010) Foton Auto and Moscow government of Russia United have singed the agreement at Moscow on June 24th, 2010, which indicates that European Market department of Foton Auto, the Russia Foton Auto Company, has been set up. Russia will be the manufacture and operation center of Foton Auto in Europe.
The agreement signing activity is an important part of economy and trade cooperation of Beijing and Moscow during 2010 and 2012. The bilateral cooperation contents include that Russia Foton Auto Company is selected to be the operation center in Europe area, and it will be fully responsible for sales, R＆D and investment as well as management of Europe area business.
A production base with annual 100,000 capacity is to be set up in Russia in 2012, which will cover light truck, medium truck, heavy truck, large VAN, small VAN, pickup, and SUV, etc. The products will cover all Europe.
The establishment of Russia Foton Auto Company is an important milestone for Foton overseas business, especially for Russian business development.
