Foton cooperates with Daimler to produce Auman truck

(chinatrucks.com, July 20, 2010) Foton and Daimler has signed the agreement about AV company with 50% to 50% shares on July 16th, 2010. They will produce Auman medium and heavy truck matched with national Mercedes-Benz engine.

It is learned by reporter that the medium and heavy truck AV Company is established by 50% to 50% of both parties with total investment 635 million Euros and registering assets 560 Euros. The AV Company will last for 50 years.

Foton will maintain the right to use and own these intangible assets of Auman heavy duty truck, such as proprietary technology, patent, and brand, etc, at overseas market. Daimler truck will bring in technology support to the AV Company, especially diesel engine and exhaust gas emission system. It will make great efforts to satisfy the National V emission standard in China.

Both parties will aim at producing Foton truck brand, Auman. The annual capacity of completely vehicle will reach 100,000, which will supply China market and satisfy export demands.
