Sinotruk initiates Chengdu wangpai program
(chinatrucks.com, Sep 30, 2010) It is learned by reporter that Sinotruk group Chengdu wangpai commercial vehicle is inaugurated on Sep 28th, 2010. The program with annual 400,000 commercial vehicles of Chengdu is officially initiated.
Sinotruk group and Chengdu local government have signed the agreement on August 23th, 2010. It will establish JV Company with Chengdu wangpai auto group with investment of 300 million Euros to develop heavy, medium, light and mini series commercial vehicles and other auto business. The JV Company will initiate a program with 100,000 medium and heavy trucks in 2011. It will realize 100,000 medium and heavy trucks and 300,000 light and mini trucks target by 2015. It aims to establish the JV Company to be a commercial vehicle base with annual capacity of 400,000.
It is analyzed by expert that auto industry in Chengdu is to be formed into two layouts, one is sedan, the other is commercial vehicle after the JV Company has been established.
