Foton creates top end pickup
(chinatrucks.com, Oct 15, 2010) It is learned by reporter from Foton that a top end pickup with Foton logo has being conducting the engineering test. It looks very much like Toyota sell-well pickup, Hilux. The reporter learned from Foton that this top end pickup is secretly created, and the interior code is P201, which will be promoted to the market at the second half of 2011.
It will be the first top end pickup with sales price of 100,000 produced by Foton. It will be manufactured in Foton Foshan base which has produced Sa Puka and legend SUV.
The top end pickup, P201 is planned to be promoted at the market at the second half of 2011. It aims to explore South East Asia and Middle South Africa overseas market. The first batch vehicle will be equipped with Foton Cummins 2.8L diesel engine, and wil consider to be equipped with Foton self researched engine under the research process.
