Dongfeng sets up commercial vehicle power assembly base
(chinatrucks.com, Nov 23, 2010) Dongfeng Commercial vehicle power assembly program has been initiated on Nov 21th, 2010. The first stage investment has reached 260 million Euros, and the program has taken 2600 square meters. It is predicted that the program will be completed in March of 2011. At the moment, the five parts program has been decided to settle down in Shiyan industrious area, including Dongfeng commercial vehicle power assembly, Dongfeng parts and components, economy commercial vehicle, Dongfeng Equipment Company, Dongfeng equipment Manufacturer Company. Etc. The overall investment of the program will surpass 600 million Euros, and the program will take 7100 square meters.
Dongfeng Commercial Vehicle Power Assembly program is the key program of “863 promotion plan”, and the first stage will take 2600 square meters, and the overall investment is 260 million Euros. The program is mainly producing self brand large power commercial vehicle engine and 14 gears heavy duty transmission.
These top end products owning self brand mean a lot to Dongfeng Commercial Vehicle. The power system of Dongfeng Commercial Vehicle could be independent of the other brands. The program will be established to the leading, first class, environmental protection, and suitable for long term development modern plant.
It is predicted that it will realize the production value of 300 million Euros at the end of 2012, and the annual production value will be realized to reach 600 million Euros in five years. The annual production value will surpass 1 billion Euros after the program will be completed.
