Foton develops natural gas tractor

(chinatrucks.com, Dec 10, 2010) Foton announces on Dec 8th, 2010 that it has successfully developed Foton Auman tractor equipped with LNG engine. It is another technology break through in clean energy area after Foton has developed battery vehicle and EV. China Petrol Company Beijing branch has signed the agreement with Foton to order 150 LNG tractors as transportation vehicle.
It is introduced that natural gas has small impact to the environment. It requires settling lots of technology barriers as the engine fuel. The performance of LNG fuel is quite equal to that of gas and diesel. The reliability and transportation efficiency has been greatly improved.
