Foton sets up overseas assembly plants

(chinatrucks.com, Jan 12, 2011) It is disclosed by Foton Auto 2011 commercial conference on Jan 8th, 2011 that Foton has established 11 auto assembly plants in five countries by the end of 2010. The overseas plants quantities and capacities have ranked the first within the industry.

The 11 overseas plants of Foton have respectively located in Russia, Iran, Pakistan, Vietnam, and Indonesia. They are the strategic new growing markets. These plants have adopted large assembly method to manufacture autos, and these autos will be sold at the local and around the local. Therefore, Foton has developed more than 40 overseas dealers and it plans to establish an assembly plant in Mexico and India.

Certainly, medium truck, heavy truck, and light truck will be the leading vehicles for Foton to explore overseas market.
