Beiqi Foton Builds North Africa Production Base in Kenya
www.chinatrucks.com: Foundation ceremony of Beiqi Foton Motors North Africa Production Base was held in Nairobi, capital of Kenya on April 4. China ambassador and Vice President of Kenya attended the ceremony.

It is introduced that this is a crucial step for Beiqi Foton to develop their business in Africa. The production base will be finished on May 1st, 2012, and there will be two production lines with annual production capacity about 10,000 units. And more than 900 employees will be recruited, 90% of them will be Kenya citizens.

Kenya Vice President said that China auto are cheap and fine, and business cooperation between Beiqi Foton and Kenya will benefit both. And there about 0.1 billion populations in East African Community including Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, and Burundi, and there are abundant investment opportunities for foreign companies.
China ambassador to Kenya expressed that this is the first time for China auto maker to introduce their production and management mode to Africa, and this will undoubtedly improve employments and production levels in this area.
