www.chinatrucks.com: The first media day for Auto Shanghai 2011 started on April 19, home and abroad main truck makers brought their latest and classic truck models to show the exhibition. And Chinatruck.org will bring latest comments.

Rising Star Truck-Dongfeng Liuqi M7
Dongfeng Liuqi led the new truck launch events today. As introduced by Cheng Daoran, General Manager of Dongfeng Liuqi, Liuqi M7 is the first intercontinental high-end logistics with high standards on safety, efficiency, comfort, and low fuel consumption. Liuqi M7 is equipped with Cummins large power engine and its output power is 450 hp.

Popualr Truck-SITRAK T7H
SITRAK T7H is co-developed by Sinotruk and Germany MAN. The new truck event attracted most domestic media due to the influences of Sinotruk and MAN in China and abroad. T7H will be sold with Sinotruk sales networks at first, and their sales in the international markets will relay on MAN marketing strategy. Sales of Sitrak T7H will amount to 200,000 units till 2018, and 160,000 units will be sold in China.

Spotlight Truck-Scania Red Pearl
Scania Red Pearl R999 is a roofless truck refitted from T164 heavy-duty truck. Adopted Scania 16L double turbine supercharge V8 engine, its largest output power amounted to 1,000 hp. The toss weight of the truck is 6.5 tons, whereas it only takes five seconds from zero to 100 km/h.

Concept Truck-Dongfeng Kinland
Dongfeng Commercial Vehicles took with Dongfeng Kingland, Kingrun, T-lift all series models to show in the exhibition. Dongfeng Kingland long-head tractor and Dongfeng Kingland DFL4251A16 with self R&D engine attracted many journalists.
Home and abroad truck makers compete on the first day, and professional journalists were rather exciting with the new trucks and classis models. We are hoping more surprises on the second day.
