Analysis of China Truck Markets in Africa from Jan. to May
www.chinatrucks.com: 1,500 Sinotruk heavy trucks were exported to Africa on May 28, and the sales revenues amount to 70 million Yuan, the biggest ever truck order this year.
Suffering from wars and unrest situations in some areas, especially North Africa and Middle East, sales of trucks were affected.
Export of Shaanxi Auto trucks increased by 10% this year, and Shaanxi Auto is exploring Middle and South Africa.
Export of SIH and Beiben were similar to that of last year. Overseas sales of Beiben trucks increased by 50% from Jan to May, and general export will increase 20%. Their main export trucks are large horsepower tippers and tractors.
CAMC markets in Africa are mainly Algeria, Morocco, Egypt and Libya, and export volumes to Africa decreased by 50%.
