Dongfeng is optimistic about further sales of trucks by improving production ability while the general production ability of China truck industry decreased by 10%. "Not only in China, we are committed to develop Dongfeng brand in overseas markets, and we are making every effort to win approves by customers from all over the world, " said Huang Gang, general manager of Dongfeng commercial vehicle.

Sales of six-ton above Dongfeng medium and heavy trucks has ranked top three of the world for many years, but "95% of the trucks are sold in China, and 10,000 trucks will be exported this year, and we hope that there will be 10% trucks to be sold in overseas markets in five years." said Huang Gang.

Dongfeng will run for this targets in three steps, the first is to strengthen their leadership in China, and then they will be leading brand in Asia and at last a famous brand in the world. Currently, Dongfeng trucks have been sold to Southeast Asia and Middle East, and Iran, Russia and Vietnam are their main markets, and South America and middle and west Asia are under development.
