Production and Sales of Trucks in Sept. in China

www.chinatrucks.com: As shown in the production and sales statistics of the third quarter in 2012, which is released by the statistics center of Chinatruck.com, the traditional peak season of “Golden September and Silver October” has promoted the sales of the market. The sales grew at 10% sequential growth, but the rebound is far from the expectations of manufacturers and dealers. The total sales has exceeded 257,300, the monthly sales of heavy truck was 42,800, medium truck 22,540, light truck 149,600 and the micro truck 42,411. At the production end, the sales of 263,726 reached a sequential growth by 15.6%, a 6% growth compared with the sales in August.
Heavy Truck: The top five sales are Dongfeng Automobile of 8,717, FAW Group of 7,358, FOTON of 6,944, Sinotruck 6,907, Shaanxi Auto of 4,793. These brands achieved a positive growth compared with last month. What worth mentioning is that SIH realized a monthly sale of 1,154, reaching a sequential growth at 4.4% and a year-on-year growth at 2.3%, which has made SIH the only company that has obtained a positive growth.
Medium Truck: The top seven sales are Dongfeng Automobile of 4,952, FAW Group of 3,852, Chongqing Lifan of 3,381, Qingling Motors of 2,176, CNHTC of 1,923, Tangjun Ouling of 1,404 and CNJ of 1,180. Though a narrow fall after rise, Chongqing Lifan achieved an 88% growth compared with sales of the same period last year. It keeps a promising growth.
Light Truck: With the sales of 29,756, FOTON remained the top in the list, closely followed by JAC of 17,339, Jinbei Automobile of 15,713, Dongfeng Automobile of 12,286, JMC Motors of 10,321, Great Wall of 9,798 and Nanjing Automobile of 8,558.
