Li Sheng Visits Brazil to Advance Localization of FAW TRUCKS
Li Sheng, Chairman and Party Secretary of FAW TRUCKS, visited Brazil as part of his Latin America market tour following earlier trips to Mexico, Peru, and Chile. The visit focused on studying the local commercial vehicle market and strengthening cooperation with partners to accelerate the localization of FAW TRUCKS products. Leng Changchun, Party Secretary and General Manager of FAW TRUCKS International, accompanied the visit and related activities.
Brazil is one of the largest commercial vehicle markets in Latin America, with a large market scale, diverse operating conditions, and strong growth potential. It is also a key strategic market for FAW TRUCKS in South America. During the visit, Li Sheng reviewed the local market environment, including customer demand, regulatory requirements, and the competitive landscape. He also visited local partners to examine their manufacturing operations, supply chain systems, and sales and service networks, gaining a clearer understanding of local production and after-sales operations to support future localization.

In meetings with partners, both sides agreed to further deepen cooperation, with a focus on Brazil’s demand for high-end logistics and long-haul transportation. FAW TRUCKS will accelerate the localization and adaptation of its high-end heavy-duty trucks, adjusting products according to local road conditions, emission standards, and real-world operating needs. The aim is to deliver trucks with stronger performance, higher reliability, and improved operating efficiency for local customers. The two sides also discussed cooperation in joint technology development, production capacity coordination, and supply chain optimization, and explored the establishment of a long-term localized partnership framework.
This visit represents an important step in FAW TRUCKS’ global “International FAW TRUCKS” strategy, reflecting the company’s ongoing transition from product export to a more complete overseas operational system. Looking ahead, FAW TRUCKS will continue to align with global market demand and focus on key overseas regions. With advanced products as the core, technology cooperation as support, and local resources as foundation, the company will further improve its overseas R&D, manufacturing, sales, and service capabilities. It will also enhance its global competitiveness and brand influence, and accelerate the implementation of its “SPRINT 2030” international strategy.
