Dongfeng Auto Targets for 400,000 -420,000 CVs, Same as 2012’s
www.chinatrucks.com: Chairman of Dongfeng Automobile, Xu Ping expressed that this year, Dongfeng Auto is going to control its production capacity so as to increase operation rate. The total production capacity in 2013 is to increase from 2,690,000 units to 2,980,000 units. The sales target is to increase from 2,155,000 units to 2,300,000-2,350,000 units. Among them, the commercial vehicles sales volumes are the same amount as the number in 2012, which are nearly 400,000 -420,000 units.

Besides, as for the earlier time, it is rumor that Dongfeng Automobile planed to purchase Amercian electric vehicles manufacturing company Fisker. Chairman Xu admitted that both companies had been gotten in touch with each others. He thought that both sides have the synergistic effect, but due to the development of the Fisker was rather different from what Dongfeng Auto expected, so there is no any following up in it. Xu expressed that he would keep an eye on other favorable companies for the future development.
