SINOTRUK Exports Ranking First for Eight Consecutive Years
www.chinatrucks.com: Since the beginning of this year, SINOTRUK who provides Euro Ⅴ compliant heavy trucks has been maintaining a steady growth rate in exports. Up to now, the company has got orders accumulating more than 140,000 units, leading ahead of other HD truck manufacturers.
Wei Zhihai, Deputy General Secretary of the Party Committee of SINOTRUK says that the technological innovation is an accelerator for SINOTRUK to make a leap development. In international market, SINOTRUCK achieves fruitful results thanks to innovation.

As a leader of Chinese HD truck industry, SINOTRUK lays emphasis on the capacity of re-innovating introduced technology and integrated innovation, and develops a technological innovation system open to R&D of new products and new techniques. Currently, HD trucks increase to 9 series with more than 3,000 types from 1 series with 78 types in 2001, making SINOTRUK cover the widest product types with most diversified driving modes. It has mastered 2,218 national patents, 68 of which are patents for invention, becoming an auto company with most patents.
Independent innovation doesn’t mean to act blindly. SINOTRUK has been attaching importance to digestion and absorption of introduced technologies as early as when it starts introducing Austria STEYR technology till now cooperates with MAN. To shorten the gap with foreign HD truck manufacturers and march toward higher level, SINOTRUK commences all-round strategic cooperation with MAN in July 2009 by introducing MAN’s full set advanced technology. At present, SINOTRUK has been able to make mass production because of the completion of production lines of motors, axles, driving rooms and assembly lines using MAN technology. It is said motors produced based on the MAN technology are 15 years advanced than the world’s leading technology and are outstanding in terms of design, technique, materials and performance.
To compete with international advanced HD truck at the same stage is a dream for generations of HD truck builders. In May 2012, SINOTRUK delivers 400 of 2000 Euro Ⅴ trucks to Brazil. This is the first time to make mass production of Euro Ⅴ HD trucks in China, and also the first time to export HD trucks compliant with higher standards than Euro Ⅳ in a large amount.
In February, 2013, SINOTRUK’s SITRAK lands on Taiwan as the first Chinese HD truck brands, opening the cooperation between companies across the straits.
Hong Kong has been conforming to the strictest emission standards and dominated by European and American brands. In June, SINOTRUK delivers 300 Euro Ⅴ HD trucks, making itself the first mainland HD truck brands to enter Hong Kong market. Wei Zhihai says that the access to Hong Kong market is another proof that Chinese mainland HD trucks could meet for the strictest standards and compete with European and American brands at the same stage.
In 2011, SINOTRUK export breaks through 20,000 units, reaching 26,000 units. Wei Zhihai says SINOTRUK will proceed with remarkable performance in international market relying on leading technology despite of depressed HD truck market, and the export is expected to outnumber 30,000 units.
