Foton Motors Invests 3.2 Billion Yuan for New Plant in Guangdong
www.chinatrucks.com: Recently Foton Motor declared that they will invest 3.2 billion Yuan to construct new plant in Sanshui District, Foshan City, and the new base can produce 240,000 vehicles a year and they will produce pickups and SUVs.
Sanshui production base is reflecting Foton Motor upgraded strategy and Foton Motor will own 15 production bases in China, and its annual capacity will amount to two million units, said Foton Motor PR Department.
Foton Sanshui production base belongs to their multi functional vehicle department, and the carrying SUV is based on pickups.
After the production base finished, Nanhai base will move here. And their plan is to own four million annual production capacity till 2020, while consolidating their position in China commercial vehicle markets.
The latest sales data reveals that Foton sold 388,900 vehicles from Jan to July, up 4.2%, and 2131 of which are large and medium buses, down 9%.
