SINOTRUK: Profits up by 27.5% in the First Half Year
www.chinatrucks.com: SINOTRUK achieves good results in its operation transformation and product adjustment program. In the first half year, it sees obvious improvement in both quality and efficiency with a profit up by 27.54% year on year.
Product structure adjustment improves core competitiveness
Since the reform and transformation in 2001, SINOTRUK has been taking revitalizing national heavy trucks as own responsibility and pushing forward Chinese heavy truck brand going into international market relying on its leading innovation and technology.
In 2011, SINOTRUCK combining its own situations, problems and targets, starts a significant project to optimize product structure and operation mode in order to improve quality and go into international market.

SINOTRUK high-level heavy truck
It invested a huge amount of capital into high-quality and green environmental friendly heavy truck engine in order to meet with higher emission standard. Since 2011, it developed engines complying with China 4 and 5 standards. The China 5 engine is awarded with E-mark certification by VCA.
At the same time, SINOTRUK puts efforts on developing needed NG engine which is favored by the market due to its low emission, environmental protection and higher fuel economy. In the first half year, SINOTRUK sells 2,500 NG heavy trucks, up by 82.46% year on year. It even exports LNG heavy trucks in a mass, indicating a bright market future for Chinese heavy trucks.
SINOTRUK also actively enhances international cooperation and introduces leading technology. In 2009, it signed official cooperative agreement with German MAN and started a strategic cooperation with MAN.
Since then, SINOTRUK introduces MAN complete advanced technology and now has established complete productions line for MAN engine, axle, cab and assembly. It is capable of producing mass products.
At the end of 2012, supported by MAN technology and quality management, SINOTRUK launched HOWO-T heavy trucks which installs MC11 engine. Its HOWO-T7H since open to the market has been sold over 1000 units.
At the beginning of 2013, another cooperative product SITRAK comes out.
Now SINOTRUK has been awarded with national 2218 patents, 68 of which are invention patents.
Upgrading marketing mode to explore overseas market
In 2012, 500 SINOTRUK Euro 5 heavy trucks were exported to Brazil, China’s first mass production of Euro 5 heavy trucks and also China’s first export of heavy trucks meeting Euro 4 and above standards.
In June 2013, 300 Euro 5 heavy trucks enters Hong Kong market, which proves that Chinese national heavy truck brand could produce products meeting the world’s strictest standard and be able to compete with European and American giant competitors in the same market.
Now the group has over 120 staff staying at its offices in over 40 countries and regions and 6 KD assembly plants. SINOTRUK pays special attention to improvement of after-sales service and sets up 86 tier-one dealers and more than 240 service centers.
