Foton: Continuous Rise of Share in Heavy Truck, Big Roar in Light Bus

www.chinatrucks.com: The research report of Dongfeng Security shows that Foton gets a business income of 17.96 billion yuan in the first half year declining by 31.6% over last year. The net income attributable to interest is 408 million yuan, down by 77.8% year on year. The net income excluding non-recurring profit and loss is 225 million yuan, up by 5.2%. The business income in the second quarter is 9.55 billion yuan, down by 24.8% over last year.

Continuously rising market share in heavy truck industry: in the first half year, the company sells 247,000 units of complete vehicles, slightly up by 4.6% over last year. The medium and heavy trucks grow by 36.4%, 25.7% higher than the industry average. The market share in heavy truck industry rises by 2.2% to 11.5%. The rollout of MPV pushes high the sales of light buses. In the first half year, light buses grow by 42.8%. Light truck and large and medium bus decrease by 2.3% and 11.3% respectively.

The growth rate of business revenue is roughly conformed to the sales. In the first half year, despite of a rise in sales, the revenue drops a lot, which is attributed to the heavy truck business incorporated with the joint venture with Daimler.
