JMC National Recognized Enterprise Technology & Product Development & Technological Center Unveiled

www.chinatrucks.com: November 24th witnessed the holding of the unveiling ceremony of “National Recognized Enterprise Technology Center & Product Development Technological Center” in front of Jiangling Motors Co., Ltd. (“JMC”) product development building which was newly built at Xiaolan base in Nanchang. Firecrackers were fired; everyone was so excited and looking forward to the future. JMC Chairman Wang Xigao and JMC President York Chen delivered speeches. First Executive Vice President Ms. Xiong Chunying hosted the ceremony.

Launch of this brand-new product development technological center (“PD center”) marked the construction of a first-class automotive industrial base in China and even in the whole Asia Pacific Region was completed and put in use, which integrated research, development and manufacturing. Re-certification of the “National Recognized Enterprise Technology Center & Product Development Technological Center” indicated the independent research and development ability of JMC being advanced to a new level.

According to Vice President Liu Shuying’s report, Xiaolan new research and development base positions itself as high starting point planned, high standard construction, good quality management, aiming at building it into an automotive research and development base conforming to the international advanced standard. Bearing the investment of 424 million yuan RMB, the new base has new research and development building, studio room, product development garage, NVH laboratory and testing center. Global digital design information system, CAE calculation center were also constructed. The newly built Xiaolan whole vehicle testing tract under the total investment of 80 million yuan RMB was constructed based on the most advanced standard in the world. The whole vehicle environment and emission lab has acquired the qualification recognition of CNAS in China in 2012. The performance testing of the whole vehicle such as power, economy, comfort, emission, etc. have all achieved the international advanced level.

From the technology introduction to localization, to the independent research and development of whole vehicles like N351, N800 and N330, and to the setting up of JMC JPDSII technology innovating system, JMC PD center has been developed into a National Recognized Enterprise Technology Center & Product Development Technological Center integrating new product and technology development, new products tryout, and foreign technology cooperation and exchange. The founding of the all-new PD center enabled a leap forward of its technology innovation capability.

President York Chen declared at the ceremony that JMC’s independent research and development ability has made tremendous progress comparing with that in 2005. He also encouraged the development team to make unremitting effort to produce more and better new products with higher satisfaction from target customers. Traveling with the express trains of the economic development, new fields will be explored and broader markets will be tapped into.

Chairman Wang Xigao indicated that the PD center has gone through enormous changes today. He hoped to see the JMC product development team growing stronger in such good environment, and after constant efforts, research and development masters in JMC and even in the whole automotive industry may emerged here. In the meantime, Wang wished the vehicle with the world’s leading technology will roll off-line from Xiaolan production line; he also hoped JMC to work towards S6/P6 level capability, the peak of the independent development.
