Sinotruk Wangpai W5 Medium and Heavy Truck Rolls off the Line
www.chinatrucks.com: On December 22, 2013, Sinotruk Wangpai (Chengdu) Commercial Vehicle Co., Ltd. celebrates its rolling-off-the-line W5 medium & heavy truck and completion of 012 new plant. With applause and cheers, W5G equipped with German MAN engine and combined Sinotruk advanced technology rolls off the assembly line.

At the spot, the first 20 W5G vehicles are delivered to Sichuan Mianyang Delong Automotive Sales Company. Leaders and distinguished guests take pictures at the assembly line and then pay a visit to the new plant.
Since reorganization three years ago, Sinotruk Wangpai undergoes rapid development and gets back on track in the process of from recovery of production to rise against adversity. Its production and sales grow at a rate of 30% and quality upgraded is completed through new products replacing old ones. As the largest commercial vehicle project in Sichuan province, the 012 new plant is constructed in two phases with an investment totaling 1.035 billion yuan. The phase one covers 850 mu (around 566 667 square meters), with approximate 140,000 square meters for the construction of added workshops and assorted facilities. The annual production is expected to be 100,000 units. The layout of production is in strict accordance with high standard and best design. The general assembly line is 580 meters and there is one medium & heavy truck off the line every 4.5 minutes. The general assembly line covers the mixed lines of medium and heavy trucks. Robots are allocated in welding production line. Advanced framework production and automatic painting production make it to have top technique and facility as well as perfect examination system which ensure product technique and technical quality.

The new plant now is officially put into use and successfully researches W5 lineup (including medium & heavy tractors, dumpers, and flat-bed trailers). W5 series adopts Sinotruk’s most mature D08 technology and equips MAN engine, thus its technique facility reaches Chinese leading level. The new product sets foot in high standard and quality by mating with MAN MC07 China 4 engine and axles. The technology and quality of the complete vehicle reaches the leading position among its kind. In November 2013, the product passes 165 debugging and tests in complex situation in Dingyuan county, Anhui province. It meets for China’s regulations and its performance is in leading position. It is regarded as a medium-and-high-level vehicle with high performance ratio and best profits.
