Foton Motor Forges Zhucheng High-end Truck Production Base

www.chinatrucks.com: Foton Motor Technology Day themed as “Strength Makes Dreams Come True” and also auto industry production exhibition was held in Zhucheng, Shandong province on May 15, 2014. As the largest and longest commercial vehicle show, Foton Motor brings 11 brands and nearly 100 complete vehicles together with their self developed large capacity new energy battery. And 83 local auto parts manufacturers brought over 1500 products taking part in the show.

Foton Motors released their “6060” project for Zhucheng plant, and they will invest eight billion USD to build high end truck project and their annual output will amount to 600,000 units. Furthermore, Foton Motor will forge Zhucuheng plant an international high end truck production base with annual output over 1.1 million units in the long run.

According to Foton Motor “2020 Project”, sales of Foton hight end trucks will amount to 880,000 till 2020 from 300,000 units in 2014, and the project is closely related to the plant in Zhucheng 600,000 trucks program. The medium and high end light truck program will finish till 2016 and the program can generate 120 billion Yuan each year and tax for six billion Yuan and create 15,000 jobs. Then Foton Motor will become world leading medium and high end truck production base and Zhucheng auto industry will become the first auto industrial cluster with more than 100 billion Yuan in Shandong province.
