Foton Sold 33,700 Vehicles in August

www.chinatrucks.com: On Sept. 8, Foton released a report on its business performance in August. According to the report, the company produced 33,500   vehicles last month, up by 7.15% year on year and it sold 33,700 units, up by 8.18% year on year.

From January to August, Foton boasted an accumulated production volume of 335,800 vehicles, down by 14.01% year on year. In the same period, it sold 331,700 units, down by 15.53%.

According to the report, Foton sold 4,618 units medium and heavy trucks in August， including the non-complete ones. The figure dropped by 27.41% year on year. From January to August, the company sold 52,897 units trucks, down by 38.05% year on year. In August, Foton sold 25,092 units mini trucks, up by 17.98% year on year. In May this year, its sales of mini-trucks was still  declining  ,but the company managed to reverse the situation in June. It sold 28,170 units mini-trucks in that month, up by 26.28% year on year; and in July it sold 24,622 units, up by 2.88% year on year. From January to August, Foton sold 246,761   mini-trucks, down by 10.38 year on year.

In August, Foton AUV sold 688   large and medium-sized buses, up by 63.42% year on year. In the first eight months, Foton AUV sold 4,436 units  , up by 6.02% year on year. In August, Foton also sold 2,103   mini buses, down by 16.32%. In the first eight months, the company sold 18,867   mini buses, down by 15.82% year on year.
