Who is the winner? Yes, it’s the Auman EST super truck.
After the early testing and voting, Chinese Truck of the Year for 2017 (CToY) selection results announced: Auman EST super truck was awarded “Chinese Truck of the Year for 2017” and honored to be the first domestic company won this award. C&C U480 heavy truck and JAC Shuailing light truck had also been shortlisted with the good performance in this test.

CToY jury consists of IToY jury members, domestic commercial vehicles press representatives, industry customers and the third party test institution. The selection learned from the famous international annual truck selection and the European Truck 1000 evaluation methods, combined with the actual situation in the Chinese market. The evaluation project involves driving design space and interior design, ride comfort, handling performance, the total cost of ownership, safety, and power of 6 big items and 26 aspects.

The president of CToY jury Yu Jing expressed in his speech, “the jury all had an agreement of that the room and comfort of Auman EST driving cab is close to the European trucks and suitable for long distance transportation; the ZF TraXon automatic transmission can match with Foton Cummins 331KW engine perfectly; it has good view field and high speed driving stability, lots of active and passive safe devices make the truck easier to handle; Cab with air bag vibration reduction and air suspension chassis showed good experience of ride comfort; and it can also help customers improve operating efficiency in the aspects of payload and maintenance interval.
