Foton Heavy-Duty Truck Sales Up 108% in February

www.chinatrucks.com: On March 8, 2017, Foton release its sales and production volumes for various products in February 2017. Details as follows:
Ⅰ. Sales volumes for Foton commercial vehicles and engines are increased
In February, Foton sell 38,000 commercial vehicles of all kinds, with year-on-year growth of 50.34%; and the total volume reached 73,400 in January and February, with year-on-year growth of 26.33%.

As for engines, Foton sells 29,700 engines of its own in February, with year-on-year growth of 72.6%; and 54,000 for January and February, with year-on-year growth of 35.49%, including 12,500 Ollin engines, up by 8.35% year on year, and Cummins for 41,600 units, up by 46.5% year on year.
Ⅱ.Sales Volumes for heavy and light truck increases greatly
1. February sees 108% growth in the sales volume of heavy truck, with 74% cumulative increase
Foton sells 10,027 medium and heavy duty trucks (including non-full vehicles) in February, with year-on-year growth of 111.32%, containing 9,306 heavy trucks (including LFN), up by 107.72%. In January and February, Foton sells 17,500 medium and heavy duty trucks (including LFN) in total, with year-on-year growth of 73.46%, containing 16,200 heavy trucks (including LFN), up by 74.01%.

Its JV—Foton Daimler Automotive sells 9,387 Auman medium and heavy duty trucks, with year-on-year growth of 113.29%. And January and February witnesses a sales volume of 16,400 Auman medium and heavy duty trucks for Foton Daimler, with year-on-year growth of 74.45%.
2. Total sales volume for light truck reaches 37,000, up by 11.23%
In fact, in addition to heavy trucks, sales volume of Foton light and micro trucks is also gratifying in February. 18,700 light trucks are sold, up by 32.59% year on yaer; and in January and February 37,000 are sold, with year-on-year growth of 11.23 %.
