SINOTRUK Qingdao Sees Chance for Expanding along "Belt and Road"
www.chinatrucks.com: In the past two years, SINOTRUK Qingdao Heavy Industry gets on the “fast train” of the “Belt and Road” and makes greater efforts to expand overseas market. Its export volumes for dumpers, special vehicles and others stood at 10,000 units in FY 2016, account for nearly 70% of the total sales volume. So far, China has conducted broad and mutual cooperations with almost 70 countries along the “Belt and Road”, while Sinotruck Qingdao has expanded its sales network in 22 countries, where 2,094 units were sold in 2016, accounting for one-fifth of all vehicles export. Since the beginning of the year, it has exported 1,049 units worth over 300,000 yuan.

With the further promotion of “Belt and Road”, a large amount of infrastructure projects in countries alongside will start and are expected to increase customer demand for dumpers, mixers, municipal sanitary vehicles, road transmitting vehicles and other special vehicles. Since 2016, Qingdao Heavy Industry develops excavators that are specific to Middle South American and African users, with highly intensive armor plate and armor glass installed to fit for the countries or regions in turmoil. For European market, the dry and wet mixer was evolved with its design modified to conforming to European Union’s CE certification. For Southeast Asia, it develops wood-mountain excavator to meet user’s demands in log mining, road mending, log dragging and loading, etc. For some special needs in some countries, it develops abnormal special excavator buckets, such as flat harrows, pedal tongs, hydraulic shear, log tong, etc.
Relying on high-value added and high price value products, Qingdao Heavy Industry has established cooperative relationships with local dealers in more than 70 countries and regions in Middle South America, Africa, Middle East, and Southeast Asia. It has yielded good results in exploring new oversea markets.
In Malaysia, before 2014, there is no export, but now the export is 400 units. In Indonesia, in 2016, the sales volume is only 20 units, but the figure rises to 183 units in the first half of this year, 9 times as much as last year. In Pakistan and Kazakhstan, the export has reached 100 units.
