SITRAK Sales Up 249% and Sinotruk to Rise Year Target Sales by 10
www.chinatrucks.com: The heavy truck is running extremely hot and has grown by 72% compared to the same time last year, with 584,000 units sold. Jiefang, Dongfeng and SHACMAN are also benefiting from such a favorable environment, after reaching their initial goal, beginning to set a new one in the interim report meeting.

As one of the top three in heavy truck industry, SINOTRUK will certainly not lag behind. On July 24, 2017, at the 2017 SINOTRUK MAN Technology Challenge Competition Suzhou Station, which is themed at “Fuel saving will hold you up, and deliver you world’s greatest efficiency”, ZhangFan, as a vice general manager responsible for commercial vehicle sales, says in an interview that Sinotruk will give 10% rise to this year’s sales target.
Zhang Fan says that “the current heavy duty market is in good condition and SINOTRUK also sees record sales. So at the interim meeting being held, SINOTRUK raises the whole year’s sales target by 10-20%.”
How is the performance of SINOTRUK in first half year?
According to CAAM statistics, in the first half of 2017, SINOTRUK has managed to sell 99,000 units of heavy trucks, surpassing the whole year’s total sales target (95,000 units). In the 2017 interim marketing meeting, SINTORUK sums up the achievement in the first half year, which is, the main operation index has doubled, the order volumes rises by 103% year on year, and ex-warehouse volume rises by 114% year on year, and the returned money rises by 111% year on year. The sales volume of tractors rises by 162.76% year on year. The growth rate was 63% higher than the industry’s average growth. The overall market share takes up 13.53%, up by 2.92% year on year.
In addition, in the first half year, SANTRAK also sees a doubled sales volume of the year’s previous target, up by 249% year on year. In such a circumstance, SINOTRUK decides to raise the whole year’s target. “SITRAK sets a new goal that is double of the previous one, so SINOTRUK’s whole year target is up by 10-20%,” said by Zhang Fan.
Is the rising target indicating SINOTRUK is optimistic about the market in the second half year? From the rising target we can see if the target rises by 10-20%, the whole year target is expected to stand at 114,000 units, 19,000 units more than the year’s previous target. If deducting the already finished 99,000 units, the rest can be finished in around one month. In this way, we can conclude SINOTRUK doesn’t have high expectation on the second half year. “I believe the core driving force of heavy truck market is China’s economic situation including the national investment, stimulation of the domestic demand and the third industry, which work together to bring good opportunities for the heavy truck market,” said by Zhang Fan.
