Sinotruk Signs Deal with China Overseas Port and Gwadar Port Authority
www.chinatrucks.com: On August 13, under the witness of Chinese vice premier Wang Yang, and Pakistani premier Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Sinotruk, China Overseas Port Holdings Limited and Gwadar Port Authority officially signed strategic cooperation framework agreement.

In recent years, in response to the central government’s call for deepened reform and opening-up, Sinotruk has been carrying out various active measures to improve its corporate structure. Not long ago, it officially launched “Sinotruk New Phase of Development Project”, aiming to further enhance its overseas presence in this new era.
From January to July, Sinotruk sold 174,000 units vehicles, up by 60.1% year on year. In the meantime, its sales volume of heavy-duty trucks reached 115,000 units, up by 76% year on year; its sales volume of medium- and light-trucks stood at 56,000 units, up by 38.9% year on year, which was 28 percentage points higher than the industrial average.
From January to July, Sinotruk’s sales income reached 58.6 billion RMB, up by 56%. In addition, its profits and taxes went up by 223% and 128% year on year. It is one of the best performing enterprises in the truck building industry.
In addition, Sinotruk continues to take the lead in the international market, delivering impressive performances in both emerging and developed markets. From January to July this year, Sinotruk exported 18,800 units trucks, up by 32.6% year on year. The export volume of its heavy-duty trucks reached 28,600 units, up by 51% year on year, making a new breakthrough.
