Sinotruk Opens SKD Assembly Plant in Paraguay
www.chinatrucks.com: On September, 11, Sinotruk SKD assembly plant in Paraguay officially kicked off and a ceremony was held there to celebrate its opening. Hou Yongjun, General representative of Sinotruk (Hong Kong) Asia and America Unit attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony and delivered a keynote speech. Participants including Industry and commerce minister, deputy minister of transport, Paraguay Transport association minister, as well as 11 local mainstream media and 25 big customers witness this historic moment together.
At the opening ceremony, Hou Yongjun explained Sinotruk’s Overseas Reengineering Project to authorities, press friends and users, and placed much confidence in international production capacity cooperation. In future, Sinotruk is willing to work together with local distributor to set up SKD assembly plant, even CKD plant with policy and tax support from local authorities to further promote the development of local auto industry.
After years’ of hard work, Sinotruk has made up 80% of the total Paraguay heavy-duty truck industry. With the opening of an SKD assembly plant, Sinotruk will further strengthen its presence in Paraguay.
