Foton Unveils Two Tunland Pickups in Beijing
On April 12, Foton officially released two brand new pickups, namely Tunland E5 and Tunland S-6AT.
Tunland E5 has further improved its overall performances. Equipped with a four-wheel drive chassis made by UK-based Lotus Engineering, double-wishbone independent front suspension, the vehicle achieves high maneuverability and boasts competitive loading capacity.
Having adopted 2.4 L gasoline-powered engine or 2.8 T diesel-powered engine, it fully meets National V Emission Standards. Tunland E5 with 2.4 gasoline-powered engine can reach a maximum power of 100 kilowatt and a maximum torque of 200 N.m while the one with 2.8 T diesel powered engine is able to reach a maximum power of 85 kilowatt and a maximum torque of 280 N.m.
Equipped with 5MT manual transmission gearbox, Tunland E5 is exceptionally powerful and energy efficient. In addition, its 245/70R16 tires help the vehicle become more adaptable to varied working conditions and create an unprecedented driving experience for drivers.
Having two versions available (standard version: 5310×1880×1860mm, wheelbase: 3,105 mm; extended version: 5603×1880×1860mm, wheelbase: 3,398 mm), Tunland E5 fully meets the increasingly diversified demands of its operators.
In addition, its ninth generation ABS+EBD, standardized safety airbags, upgraded tire-pressure monitoring system, cameras, and radars jointly provide multi-layered protection for Tunland E5.
Equipped with Cummins ISF2.8T engine, ZF 6AT transmission gearbox and Dana axle, Tunland S-6AT well represents the technological height of the fifth-generation of pickups. It boasts a maximum power of 130 kW and a maximum torque of 365 N.m. Adopting ZF six-speed automatic transmission gearbox for the pickups in China for the first time, Tunland S-6AT is able to realize smoother power shifts. In addition, its transfer case made by US-based BorgWarner and its high-performing chassis contribute immensely to the improved overall performances of the vehicle.
In terms of safety, Tunland S-6AT is equipped with Bosch ESP, TPMS, cruising control system, and cameras, all of which help the vehicle achieve unparalleled safety standards.
In addition, with its width reaching 1,880 mm and its wheelbase 3,105 mm, Tunland S-6AT creates a much more spacious room for both drivers and passengers. Its more streamlined body structure also immediately commands awe among all viewers. (www.chinatrucks.com)
