Foton Signed a Strategic Cooperation Framework Agreement with Weichai

On 8 August, 2020, Foton signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement with Weichai at its headquarter located in Wei Fang, Shandong province. Tan Xuguang, the president of Weichai power and Gong Yueqiong, the president of Foton Motor Group and other revealant leaders were invited to be present at the ceremony.

According to the new aggreement, they will further leverage each other’s strength to deepen cooperation in diesel engines with 2.0L and 2.5L displacement. They aim at setting up a manufacturing base for small-bore diesel engines to offer the best products or service in the world.

For the past 20 years since the establishment of their cooperation, the two parties have been in good partnership all along. During the period, their cooperation areas have been expanded increasingly from just engines to various kinds of products including engines, transmission, axles and powertrain. To run onto the track of economic globalization, and to participate in the global competition, the two parties will cooperate more colsely in the technology, manufacturing and marketing resources for high-end small-core engines in the future.
