Dongfeng Cummins Engines Run Smoothly in High-altitude Environment
TIBET, CHINA -- Recently, 48 units sanitation vehicles equipped with Dongfeng Cummins engines meeting National VI Emission Standards were put into service in Lhasa, the provincial capital of Tibet Autonomous Region.
With an average altitude of 3,650 meters above the sea level, Lhasa has put forward high requirements for vehicle engines.
Dongfeng Cummins engine with National VI Emission Standards has already undergone extremely stringent tests in in high temperature, low temperature and high altitude working environment. It has managed to run smoothly for over one million kilometers under extreme operating conditions. In addition, vehicles equipped with the engines have a B10 service life of up to 1.60 million km.
After the arrival of the sanitation vehicles, Dongfeng Cummins Customer Care sent a special team to Lhasa to offer training sessions for drivers so that they can be better prepared for Dongfeng Cummins engines.
