FOTON Motor: NEV Penetration Rate to Exceed 80% by 2050
Wu Xibin, general director of FOTON Motor, once again clarified Foton's "dual-carbon" goal at an eco-innovation conference held recently. The goal is to reach carbon peak in 2028, carbon neutrality in core plants by 2035, and carbon neutrality across the value chain by 2050.

Focusing on the "dual-carbon" and "new energy vehicle" strategies, Foton has formulated a clear plan to increase the popularity of new energy products in phases.
By 2028, the penetration rate of new energy products will exceed 40%, carbon emissions will be reduced by more than 40%, and energy efficiency will be improved by more than 30%; By 2035, the penetration rate of new energy vehicles will reach 60%;
Foton's new-generation of light bus, the Toano Grand V, which took four years to build at a cost of 950 million yuan, was unveiled at the same time.

The vehicle was built on super chassis and features new "three power" (Battery Motor Electronic Control) that involve many well-known suppliers such as Bosch Power, CATL and Magna. It is not only lightweight, which reduces fuel consumption, but also powerful and capable of L2-level autonomous driving.

In addition, Foton officially launched the hybrid technology brand FHS (FOTON Hybrid System, FHS) and a full range of hybrid products. It includes heavy-duty, medium-duty, light-duty trucks, mini-trucks, pickups, and minivans built with FHS technology and covers 50 application scenarios, such as road transportation, sanitation, supermarkets, cold chain and more.
