BYD Debuted at Guangdong - Hong Kong - Macao Greater Bay Area Int’l Auto Show
The 2024 (28th) Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao Greater Bay Area Auto Show and China New Energy Vehicle Technology Exhibition (Shenzhen) (‘2024 Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao Greater Bay Area Auto Show’) was officially opened at the Shenzhen International Convention and Exhibition Centre (Bao'an) from 1 to 9 June.
BYD has taken over Hall 1, turning it into a dedicated showcase zone for the brand. At the event, BYD presented its entire product lineup, along with its intelligent and urban electrification technology. The highlight was the world's first large-scale public demonstration of the outdoor installation of the Yangwang U8 emergency flotation technology, showcasing BYD's cutting-edge core technologies on an unprecedented scale."
As you step into Hall 1, your attention is immediately drawn to the commercial vehicle section, which is situated at the forefront of the group’s exhibition hall. The T5DM light truck and the B10 pure electric bus, which have been hailed as the stars of ‘urban electrification’, are showcased here. Both vehicles, boasting BYD Group's cutting-edge “three-electric technology” developed over the years, attracted a lot of attention from visitors.

The T5DM, introduced in 2023 as part of BYD's new strategic plan for "pure electric + hybrid" layout, marks a significant step forward for BYD in the commercial vehicle segment. It incorporates core technologies such as the DM (Dual Mode) system and blade batteries from its passenger vehicle counterparts. The T5DM is equipped with a 1.5T hybrid-dedicated efficient engine, BSC braking, ESC, and dual-wheel drive like T5EV light truck to meet the needs for urban distribution and intercity goods transportation across the country.
Additionally, through continuous iteration and upgrading, the B10 has introduced the first all-new pure electric bus based on the e-platform 3.0 in China. This version represents a significant leap forward in overall vehicle quality, driving experience, operational efficiency, and safety performance.
BYD Commercial Vehicles has deployed multiple products in the urban transportation and urban logistics electrification sectors. Currently, over 105,000 units of BYD CVs are in operation worldwide, accumulating over 17 billion kilometers. They has contributed to reducing carbon emissions by over 18.95 million tons. It fully demonstrates BYD's proactive response to industry trends and its provision of a "Chinese solution" for global commercial vehicle electrification. With advanced green technology and comprehensive transportation solutions, BYD is leading the high-quality development of the new energy commercial vehicle industry.

In addition to the automotive sector, the BYD Pavilion also covers excellent achievements in fields such as energy storage and electronics. This multi-dimensional and comprehensive display highlights BYD Group's steadfast commitment to its strategic advantage and accomplishments in full-stack self-research and vertical integration.
