BYD Ranks Among Top 10 in 2024 Kantar BrandZ Global Automotive Brands
According to the latest Kantar BrandZ Most Valuable Global Brands 2024 report, BYD has successfully retained its position within the Top 10 global automotive brands for the second consecutive year, with a brand value exceeding US$10 billion.
As a global company operating across four major industries—automotive, rail transit, new energy, and electronics—BYD has established a strategic presence across six continents. In 2023, BYD’s car sales surpassed 3.02 million units, with exports increasing by 334% year-on-year. To date, BYD has sold over 7.6 million new energy vehicles (NEVs).

With a steadfast belief in long-term development, BYD continues to build a respected global brand. This year, BYD became an official partner of UEFA EURO 2024™ and a regional partner for CONMEBOL Copa América 2024™ in Latin America. Additionally, BYD launched its fifth-generation DM (Dual Mode) technology, boasting world-leading performance. BYD believes that all these efforts leads to international success, as evidenced by its nearly two-decade-long commitment to new energy technology, its support for dragon boating as an Olympic sport, and its nurturing of young Chinese football talents for the global stage.
In the passenger car segment, BYD’s internationalization strides have been both firm and steady. As of May this year, BYD’s new energy passenger cars have entered 77 countries and regions, including Brazil, Germany, Japan, and Thailand, gaining worldwide consumer favor. In response to international market demand, BYD is continuously enhancing its eco-friendly and intelligent international logistics system. The maiden voyage of its first roll-on/roll-off (ro-ro) vehicle carrier “EXPLORER NO.1” in January this year exemplifies BYD’s commitment to green, sustainable development and supports the brand’s global expansion.
