BYD T5EV Electric Box-type Cargo Light Truck Achieves 275KM Range
The BYD T5EV pure electric light truck is equipped with a 94.3kWh Blade Battery, enhancing its range to approximately 275 kilometers. Alongside improved range, it boasts exceptional energy efficiency with an operating cost of only 0.3 yuan per kilometer, roughly one-third that of equivalent diesel trucks, showcasing outstanding energy performance. For drivers with high annual mileage or frequent usage requirements, opting for such an electric light truck can maximizes efficiency.
In urban distribution transport, range is crucial, but equally important is the speed of recharging. In this regard, the vehicle can travel 100 kilometers after charging for half an hour, allowing drivers greater flexibility in charging strategies. They can utilize fragmented time periods such as lunch breaks to recharge, thereby enhancing operational efficiency.
Moving to its drivetrain, the integrated electric axle and the use of flat-wire motors significantly improve slot filling rates and efficiency in high-load zones. The self-developed BYD flat-wire motor delivers a peak power of up to 150 kW and a maximum torque of 340 Nm, providing superior performance even when fully loaded or encountering hilly terrain.

Compared to traditional direct-drive systems, the BYD T5EV's electric axle system offers higher transmission efficiency, lower energy losses, and superior self-weight control. In half-load conditions, the vehicle accelerates from 0 to 50 km/h in just 3.2 seconds, demonstrating robust power performance.

In terms of exterior dimensions, the vehicle measures 5995×2160×3150mm (length × width × height) with a wheelbase of 3360mm. The actual vehicle features a box-type cargo compartment measuring 4030×2100×2120mm, with a volume of approximately 18 cubic meters, which can meet the volume requirements for most urban distribution.

The exterior of the BYD T5EV is strikingly modern, distinguishing itself from common light trucks on the market. This avant-garde design not only reduces air resistance with its smooth front and minimized gaps but also achieves an aerodynamic coefficient of just 0.42Cd, contributing to its energy-saving and efficient performance.
Inside the T5EV, BYD continues its passenger car design philosophy with a spacious 3-seat layout that combines elegance with practicality. The knob-style gearshift design frees up space on the driver's right side, allowing for flat seats that enable resting, enhancing comfort during transport.

BYD T5EV Fortune Edition represents the base configuration. For customers seeking enhanced entertainment and functionality, an optional 10.1-inch rotating smart screen can be installed. This system includes the acclaimed DiLink intelligent vehicle system, widely praised in passenger cars, facilitating voice-controlled commands for functions such as air conditioning and navigation, thereby enhancing the overall driving experience.
