FOTON TUNLAND Full-series Pickup Trucks Unveiled in Mexico
On July 19th, Foton Motor held a spectacular launch event for its TUNLAND full lineup of pickup trucks in Mexico City. At the event, FOTON introduced its entire range of TUNLAND pickup trucks, including the first-ever full-size hybrid pickup, the TUNLAND V, alongside the TUNLAND G series and the TUNLAND E5 electric pickup.
At the launch event, Foton Motor showcased the appeal of its TUNLAND series pickup trucks through visual effects. The TUNLAND V9, with dimensions of 5,617mm in length, 2,090mm in width, and 1,955mm in height, establishes a new standard in size and design for pickup trucks. The vehicle not only possesses powerful off-road capability and high load-carrying capacity, but also incorporates the driving comfort of a luxury sedan, bringing users an unprecedented experience of life in a pickup truck.
TUNLAND V is equipped with FOTON's newly developed turbocharged diesel hybrid powertrain with 48V hybrid system, 2.0L AUCAN turbocharged diesel engine and 8AT ZF transmission, with peak torque of up to 450Nm, strong power and quick response. Through the application of energy recovery system and ultra-high-pressure combustion system, TUNLAND V achieves a 10% reduction in fuel consumption and a thermal efficiency of up to 50%, demonstrating FOTON's outstanding achievements in energy saving and emission reduction.
The TUNLAND V features Foton Motor's latest turbocharged diesel hybrid powertrain system, along with a 48V hybrid system, a 2.0L AUCAN turbocharged diesel engine, and an 8-speed ZF automatic transmission, achieving a peak torque of 450Nm for powerful and responsive performance. TUNLAND V achieved a 10% reduction in fuel consumption and a maximum thermal efficiency of 50% through the application of energy recovery systems and ultra-high-pressure combustion systems.

TUNLAND V is leading the industry in terms of intelligence. The vehicle is equipped with ACC adaptive cruise control, AEB automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, and other intelligent driving assistance systems, achieving L2.5 level of autonomous driving and significantly enhancing driving convenience and safety. Meanwhile, a 14.6-inch intelligent large screen, intelligent voice interaction system and ambient lighting intelligent linkage provide users with full-scene intelligent in-vehicle services and immersive experience. The NVH performance of the whole car has been improved by 15%, 6 airbags for the main and passenger, and active and passive safety have been comprehensively upgraded, creating a full range of safety protection for users.

The TUNLAND G Series, on the other hand, is supported by its super power chain and global leading technical resources, designed to meet users' life and off-road vehicle scenarios. Equipped with the AUCAN diesel engine developed in cooperation with Ricardo and mated with ZF 8AT/6MT transmission, it has a maximum power of 162hp and a peak torque of 388Nm, providing high performance and low fuel consumption. The application of Bosch injection system ensures that the emission meets the Euro 6E standard, and the BorgWarner 4WD system provides four driving modes of 2H/AUTO/4H/4L, which can easily cope with various complicated road conditions. Meanwhile, TUNLAND G is also equipped with six airbags, pre-tensioned seatbelts, Bosch ESP and Advanced Driver Assistance System to ensure users' safety. Sedan-grade interior features such as heated ergonomic seats and a 10.25inch HD multifunction touchscreen further enhance the user's driving comfort.

What's worth mentioning is that after the TUNLAND G series was launched in the European market, it quickly won market recognition by virtue of its high-end quality, hardcore performance and safety protection, and gained the praise of end customers in Italy and other places. The launch in Mexico will undoubtedly further consolidate FOTON's leading position in the global pickup truck market.
