FOTON Delivers 50 Electric Heavy Trucks to Chile
Foton Motors has successfully delivered 50 electric heavy trucks to a company in Chile, marking the largest-ever order of electric heavy trucks in the country. This delivery marks a significant step for Foton in advancing green transportation in South America and shows the high approval from Chilean customers for its eco-friendly and efficient transport solutions.

The customer is a leading logistics company in Chile, known for its focus on innovation and sustainability. They bought these electric heavy trucks to boost fleet efficiency, cut down on pollution, and achieve greener, more efficient logistics.

Foton’s eAUMAN electric heavy trucks stand out with their ultra-low energy consumption, high safety, and strong adaptability to different environments. Using advanced battery and powertrain technology, these trucks excel in loading and speed while significantly reducing energy use. They come with strong battery protection and advanced battery swap technology for safe and efficient operation. To handle Chile's mountainous terrain, the trucks are equipped with EBS and ESC systems to prevent rollovers and a high-gear four-speed gearbox to handle steep slopes, meeting all user needs.

Foton has established a strong position in the Chilean market through its R&D, technology, and supply chain advantages. Its microvans lead the market, and its light trucks are popular. In the new energy field, Foton has made a big impact. In 2021, Foton delivered 1,022 electric buses to Chile, becoming a top brand in the country's electric bus sector. So far, Foton has over 1,400 electric buses in Latin America, leading the region’s electric bus market. In October 2023, Foton introduced Chile’s first hydrogen fuel cell bus, helping the country reduce carbon emissions.

This large order of electric heavy trucks shows Chile's strong commitment to sustainable development and signals the fast arrival of a green transport era in Latin America. Foton's focus on innovation and years of market experience have earned it customer favor. As the world moves towards decarbonization, Foton has developed core technologies in pure electric, hybrid, and hydrogen fuel cell vehicles, speeding up the green transformation of global logistics. Foton’s new energy products are now available in 45 countries and regions worldwide, including Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and South America.
Under the Belt and Road Initiative, Foton is deepening its international strategy and carbon reduction goals in Chile. By offering high-quality products, advanced technology, and professional services, Foton aims to enhance its influence and competitiveness in Chile and South America, providing green and efficient transport solutions and contributing to the global green transition in logistics.
