BYD Introduces the Innovative Hybrid Pickup Truck BYD SHARK to Panama
Recently, BYD officially launched its first hybrid pickup truck, BYD SHARK, in Panama. This strategic move follows the successful introduction of the vehicle in Mexico on May 14th and signifies BYD's ongoing commitment to expanding its presence in Latin America. It also marks BYD's entry into the Panamanian hybrid vehicle market with a groundbreaking model.
BYD SHARK boasts an impressive range of 840km(NEDC) and a pure electric range of 100km(NEDC), ensuring the BYD SHARK is suitable for city commuting and long-distance traveling. In addition, BYD SHARK stands out with the largest body size in its class, providing users with spacious cabin space. The exterior design of the model is inspired by the agility and dominance of sharks, reforming the conventional design of pickup trucks and combining technological innovation with wild power.
Eduardo López de Victoria, Regional General Manager of BYD Central America and the Caribbean, said: "In Panama, the pickup truck market has shown considerable growth momentum in recent years. Pickup trucks are very popular in the market because they meet both business and personal needs and are suitable for multiple scenarios. BYD SHARK is designed to meet these market demands and will subvert the traditional fuel pickup truck market with revolutionary technology, bringing consumers a new lifestyle and travel experience through its user-friendly design, DMO technology, and intelligent features."
The launch event featured a camping scene for BYD SHARK, providing guests with an immersive experience. Numerous media representatives and influencers had the opportunity to test drive the BYD SHARK, and their feedback was highly positive, praising the vehicle's handling and stability.
Currently, BYD operates two dealer stores in Panama. Looking ahead, BYD will further expand its sales network to offer local consumers a more convenient and efficient experience in purchasing, using, and maintaining their vehicles.
