Foton Unveils New Beacon Concept Truck
Foton Motor has officially launched its new energy commercial vehicle brand, CAVAN. Alongside the first model, the CAVAN LeFu, the company also revealed its first heavy-duty truck concept, the Beacon. This innovative truck is built on a dedicated platform for new energy heavy-duty vehicles and offers two power options: pure electric and hydrogen fuel.

Futuristic Design
The Beacon concept truck features a sleek and futuristic look. Its streamlined front end includes a "bullet-nose" shape with a closed grille and gradient diamond-shaped details, giving it a high-tech appearance. The illuminated gear-shaped logo and starry-effect rectangular headlights enhance its visual appeal and make it highly recognizable at night.

The side profile is equally advanced, with a hidden A-pillar design and upward-sloping window lines that flow seamlessly with the headlights. Retractable door handles and flip-out entry steps reduce wind resistance, while electronic rearview mirrors with cameras replace traditional mirrors, improving aerodynamics.
Optimized Aerodynamics and Performance
To further reduce drag, the truck's lower protective panels extend to the rear wheels. It features a 6×4 drive system with advanced electric drive axles designed for efficiency and high performance.
High-Tech Interior
Inside, the Beacon adopts a car-like interior design. A wide dual-screen dashboard adds a modern touch, while the two-spoke steering wheel gives it a sporty vibe. The center console includes wireless phone charging and cup holders, offering practicality and comfort in its two-seat layout.
Versatile Powertrain Options
The Beacon is built on a platform compatible with pure electric, gaseous hydrogen, and liquid hydrogen energy systems. The pure electric model is equipped with a 600 kWh battery, providing a range of over 500 km with a power consumption of just over 1 kWh per kilometer. The liquid hydrogen version boasts an impressive range of over 1,100 km.

The Beacon concept truck demonstrates CAVAN’s commitment to innovation in the new energy heavy-duty truck market, paving the way for greener and more efficient commercial transportation solutions.
