BAIC Foton Launches Tunland V Pickup Across 52 Dealerships in Brazil
Chinese automaker BAIC Foton launched its new Tunland V pickup truck in Brazil On June 14, with a coordinated rollout across 52 dealerships nationwide, marking a further step in the company’s local market expansion strategy.

The launch event was held in São Paulo and marked the official entry of the Tunland V into the Brazilian market. Developed on BAIC Foton’s global technology platform, the vehicle is positioned as a premium medium-size pickup and is designed to meet a wide range of user needs across urban, agricultural, and mixed-use environments.

BAIC Foton introduced two versions of the model—the Tunland V7 and Tunland V9—offering options aimed at both personal and commercial users. The company said the new launch reflects close cooperation with its Brazilian dealership network and supports its broader efforts to localize its offerings.

“The simultaneous launch across all partner stores demonstrates our commitment to the Brazilian market and our alignment with local customer expectations,” the company said in a statement.

Brazilian consumers attending the launch expressed interest in the new model, with several participants taking part in test drives. BAIC Foton said it plans to expand its local product lineup, deepen dealer partnerships, and improve customer experience moving forward.

The Tunland V features a combination of high load capacity, driving comfort, and performance. BAIC Foton said it aims to offer a practical and technologically advanced alternative in Brazil’s competitive pickup segment.
