BAIC Foton Launches New Vehicles in Kenya, Expands Across East Africa
On September 19, BAIC Foton, together with its local partners in Kenya, held a brand launch and dealer network inauguration, officially kicking off its full-scale operations in the country. This step is part of BAIC Foton’s localization strategy, aiming to provide high-quality vehicles and comprehensive solutions for logistics, urban construction, intercity transport, and agriculture.

As one of the most dynamic markets in East Africa, Kenya has seen steady growth in demand for commercial vehicles. BAIC Foton is expanding its presence with a “high value + local production” strategy, building a dealer network across key regions. By combining the local partners’ market expertise and service experience with BAIC Foton’s products and technology, the company seeks to offer users a reliable and efficient driving experience.

The event included an outdoor exhibition showcasing BAIC Foton’s complete lineup of commercial vehicles, from pickups and light trucks to heavy trucks and new energy models, as well as bus chassis and key powertrain components. The product team provided detailed explanations of each model’s performance and local adaptations, highlighting the company’s global technical capabilities.

During the event, BAIC Foton signed strategic cooperation agreements with several logistics and transport companies. Customer representatives praised the vehicles’ reliability and the brand’s responsive service. BAIC Foton reaffirmed its commitment to quality, announcing measures such as expanded spare parts availability and technical training to fully support users in the region.

The head of BAIC Foton Kenya also outlined the company’s new dealer network strategy and service commitments. He stated that the “Africa Strategy” will continue to focus on heavy trucks, pickups, and light trucks while supporting the growth of a green and sustainable transport system. BAIC Foton also plans to work closely with local governments, follow new energy vehicle policies, and gradually build the necessary infrastructure to help modernize the regional automotive industry and boost economic development.

The successful launch marks a new chapter for BAIC Foton in East Africa. The company will continue providing quality vehicles and services to support economic growth and modern transportation in the region.
