Beyond Vehicle Exports: How WEICHAI Is Building a Global NEV Ecosystem
As the global new energy commercial vehicle (NEV) industry continues to grow, competition is shifting from products and pricing to comprehensive ecosystem capabilities. Fleet operators are placing greater emphasis on operating efficiency, after-sales support, localized service capabilities and energy infrastructure throughout a vehicle's lifecycle.
Competition in the new energy commercial vehicle industry is no longer centered on the vehicle itself. Increasingly, it is about delivering integrated solutions that combine products, technology, services, energy solutions and partner networks. In response, WEICHAI New Energy Commercial Vehicle(WEICHAI NECV) is shifting from exporting vehicles to building an integrated ecosystem.
From Product Exports to Ecosystem Building
As Chinese new energy commercial vehicle manufacturers expand globally, many are moving beyond vehicle exports to build long-term business operations overseas. For WEICHAI, globalization is about more than selling vehicles. It is building an integrated network covering R&D, manufacturing, sales, after-sales service and operations support.

Leveraging Shandong Heavy Industry Group's integrated industrial capabilities, WEICHAI is moving beyond vehicle exports by bring its technology, standards and industrial capabilities to overseas markets. Its goal is to provide integrated new energy logistics solutions across the entire vehicle lifecycle.
This shift means the focus is no longer only on vehicle delivery, but also on helping customers improve long-term operating efficiency and maximize total lifecycle value.
Strengthening Local Manufacturing and Service
After-sales support is a key factor for commercial vehicle operators, as it directly affects vehicle uptime and operational efficiency.
Leveraging Shandong Heavy Industry Group's global resources, WEICHAI NECV is building an integrated service network covering sales, spare parts, maintenance, training and technical support.

These efforts are supported by Shandong Heavy Industry Group's extensive global network, including overseas trading platforms, manufacturing facilities and more than 1,000 overseas distribution channels.
WEICHAI is also expanding overseas KD operations to enhance local manufacturing and service capabilities, helping partners reduce costs, shorten delivery cycles and improve customer support.
For overseas customers, WEICHAI LANDKING/WEICHAI SDAC provides more than new energy commercial vehicles. It delivers reliable support throughout the vehicle's lifecycle.
From Vehicles to Energy: Building a Green Logistics Ecosystem
As electrification accelerates, the growth of new energy commercial vehicles depends not only on vehicle performance, but also on reliable energy infrastructure and support systems.
To meet diverse market needs, WEICHAI is developing integrated solar, energy storage, charging and battery swapping solutions that combine vehicles, energy infrastructure and management systems to support efficient electric logistics operations.

Through its connected vehicle platform and intelligent fleet management system, WEICHAI helps customers monitor vehicles remotely, analyze operations, manage energy consumption and improve maintenance efficiency.
From vehicle manufacturing and energy management to product delivery and operational services, WEICHAI is building a more integrated green logistics ecosystem that creates long-term value for customers.
Building an Ecosystem with Global Partners
Competition in the NEV industry is increasingly defined by supply chains and partner ecosystems rather than individual companies or products.
The Shandong Heavy Industry Group Global Partners Conference is a key platform for WEICHAI to strengthen global partnerships. The event in Hanoi brought together nearly 1,600 partners from 62 countries and regions to discuss green logistics, intelligent equipment and global cooperation, while highlighting the company's commitment to expanding its global partner network.

WEICHAI LANDKING/WEICHAI SDAC has expanded into markets across Central and North America, South America, Asia-Pacific, the CIS, the Middle East and Africa, while continuing to strengthen its localized manufacturing, sales and service network
In 2025, WEICHAI's new energy vehicle sales rose by more than 530% year on year. In 2026, new energy models are expected to account for 20% of its overseas exports, up 115% from a year earlier. The company's expanding global presence and strong growth reflect the steady progress of its globalization strategy.
Looking ahead, WEICHAI will continue leveraging Shandong Heavy Industry Group's integrated industrial strengths to build a global NEV ecosystem by combining technology, manufacturing, energy solutions, customer services and global partnerships.
Moving from vehicle exports to ecosystem building, WEICHAI is exploring a new path for the global growth of China's new energy commercial vehicle industry.
