FOTON to Launch New Trucks and Unveil Africa Training Center
FOTON will launch its GALAXUS R5 and C5 heavy-duty trucks in Africa and unveil its Africa Regional Training Center at its Africa Partners Conference in Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth), South Africa, on October 29.
Held under the theme “Drive to Great,” the conference is expected to bring together more than 600 distributors, major customers, industry partners and media representatives from 42 African countries and regions. The event will also feature the first South African appearance of the TUNLAND PHEV pickup, a visit to the BAIC South Africa Plant, vehicle displays and test-drive activities.
South Africa Plant to Showcase Local Manufacturing
The BAIC South Africa Plant will open to conference participants, giving partners, customers and media representatives a closer look at the company’s manufacturing operations in the country.
The visit will highlight BAIC FOTON’s efforts to build a stronger presence in Africa through local production and closer cooperation with regional partners. Manufacturing vehicles closer to their markets can also help the company respond more effectively to local customer needs.
The BAIC FOTON Africa Regional Training Center will also be officially unveiled during the conference. The center will focus on product technology, staff training and service capabilities, with the aim of improving support for local dealers and customers across the region.
New Trucks and Pickup to Take Center Stage
The GALAXUS R5 and C5 heavy-duty trucks will officially launch in Africa at the conference, while the TUNLAND PHEV pickup will make its South Africa debut.
The new models will expand BAIC FOTON’s product offering for African customers, covering different transport needs and applications. Their launch will be a key part of the company’s efforts to strengthen its position in the region’s commercial vehicle market.
The conference will also feature static displays of medium- and heavy-duty trucks, light commercial vehicles, pickups and vans. Drift demonstrations and test-drive activities will give participants the opportunity to experience the vehicles’ power, comfort and handling.
Building Stronger Partnerships Across Africa
The conference will provide a platform for BAIC FOTON and its African partners to discuss regional market strategies and future cooperation. Strategic cooperation agreements and customer vehicle deliveries will also be part of the event.
With new products, manufacturing operations and regional training facilities in focus, BAIC FOTON aims to strengthen its cooperation with partners and support the development of its business across Africa.
