Jiefang Auto to Release New Light Weight Trailer
www.chinatrucks.com. With further implementation of energy efficiency policy, more intense energy supply and stricter management on overloading, domestics truck customers are giving closer attention on the efficiency, cost of purchase and operation of the vehicle.
Jiefang Auto has undertaken the overall design optimization to realize the improvement of fuel efficiency and economy by conducting the best match of tractor and trailer, lowering the dead load and air drag of the vehicle.
Followings are the improvements in Jiefang CA9400CCY semi-trailer.
1. High strengthened steel is used on carling with 40% of strength growth.
2. Bent pieces and W beam are used in boundary beam and beam respectively. The baseboard is made of high strength wear plate.
3. 4 bearing springs are adopted for hangings.
4. 16 layers grade tire of 12R22.5 model is adopted.
The products leads in the industry with a total weight of 7,000kg, which is 500kg lighter compared with products in the same category. Under constant total weight, the loading capacity is larger. The feature of the vehicles, besides light weight, lies in low fuel consumption. With the speed at 80-90km/h, 2-4 liter oil will be saved for per 100 kilometers.
Research of for the vehicle started in Mar.2012 and the technical plan was finalized in May. The trailer is expected to be released in Dec. The economy and power efficiency was tested in Aug. and Sep., presently, the vehicle is being tested of reliability in real operation.
