Jiefang Partners with FCTS to Develop Hydrogen-Powered Car Transport Vehicles
On September 20, 2024, Toyota SinoHytec Fuel Cell Co.,Ltd officially partnered with Beijing Jingshunda Century Transport Group Co., Ltd. and FAW Jiefang Automobile Co., Ltd. in Beijing to develop a hydrogen-powered car transport vehicle project.
This collaboration marks the first joint effort by the three companies to promote hydrogen-powered car transport in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region. The project will primarily provide logistics services for imported vehicles from Toyota and Lexus. By working together, the companies aim to enhance green logistics and build a sustainable supply chain, taking a significant step toward a hydrogen energy society.

As a leading fuel cell company in China, Toyota SinoHytec Fuel Cell Co.,Ltd is actively responding to national plans for hydrogen energy development. Since its establishment, Toyota SinoHytec Fuel Cell has focused on technological innovation and has developed a complete product line of hydrogen fuel cell systems to meet various commercial vehicle needs. These products have facilitated the large-scale application of hydrogen-powered commercial vehicles.
By March 2025, FAW Jiefang will launch a 43-ton hydrogen-powered car transport truck equipped with Toyota SinoHytec Fuel Cell Co.,Ltd's TL Power 150 fuel cell system. This truck is designed for quick refueling, long-range travel, extended lifespan, low hydrogen consumption, low failure rates, and high safety. It will mainly transport Toyota and Lexus imported vehicles from Tianjin to Beijing. This initiative not only demonstrates the forward-thinking vision of the three companies but also promotes the use of hydrogen vehicles in logistics.

Hydrogen energy is a clean and efficient source of power that can significantly reduce carbon emissions. The hydrogen-powered car transport vehicle is expected to cut carbon dioxide emissions by 245 tons per year (based on estimated operational mileage in 2023), contributing to the development of green logistics.
In the future, the three companies will continue to collaborate, leveraging their strengths to achieve further breakthroughs and innovations in hydrogen fuel cell vehicles and hydrogen technology applications in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.
