FAW Jiefang Releases Production and Sales Data for July 2024
From January to July 2024, FAW Jiefang produced 154,590 trucks, a 2.39% increase from last year. During the same period, they sold 168,269 trucks, up 16.8%. Of these, 136,948 were medium and heavy trucks, marking a 12.6% rise. This gives FAW Jiefang a 26% share of the market, keeping it as the top player in the industry. On the 71st anniversary of FAW’s founding, these impressive results contribute to the company’s continued success.
In July, FAW Jiefang saw strong production and sales, setting new records. The company celebrated the production of its 60 millionth vehicle and the 9 millionth Jiefang truck. They also launched the J7 leading technology platform, marking a breakthrough in product performance. Additionally, the J7 TIR cross-border transport long-distance test began, fully testing the capabilities of Jiefang trucks.
In the area of new energy, FAW Jiefang is speeding up its shift to smart and green technologies. They are expanding their hydrogen energy industry in research, production, and product development. They delivered 40 new energy trucks to Hami, Xinjiang, and 1,000 pure electric heavy trucks to major customers in Xinjiang, boosting local logistics.
Globally, FAW Jiefang is expanding its reach into Southeast Asia and Africa. They signed an agreement to export 1,200 heavy trucks to an Indonesian logistics group and delivered 21 trucks to China Railway Ninth Group’s operations in Zambia, further enhancing their product competitiveness and brand influence.
FAW Jiefang continues to focus on high-quality and sustainable development, making the "China ESG Listed Companies Pioneer 100" list for two consecutive years.
The company will keep working hard to meet its annual production and sales goals.
