FAW Saw Its 9 Millionth Jiefang Truck Roll off the Line
On July 16, China's FAW Group Corporation (FAW), a major player in China's auto industry, celebrated a significant achievement with the production of its 60 millionth vehicle and the 9 millionth Jiefang truck. This milestone marks a new phase of advanced development and innovation in the automotive sector.

During the event, FAW Jiefang also unveiled its "J7 Leading Technology Platform," a culmination of three years of development. Designed specifically for efficient long-haul logistics, this platform is tailored for the upcoming release of the J7 Leading Edition heavy-duty truck. It boasts breakthroughs in 16 core technologies and comes standard with an L2-level intelligent driving system, validated through real-world scenarios covering over 20 million kilometers.

From the first to the nine millionth truck, FAW Jiefang has witnessed the evolution of China's automotive industry from its inception to becoming a powerhouse. Statistics indicate significant growth for FAW Jiefang in the first half of this year, with a cumulative production of 143,300 vehicles, marking a 4.11% year-on-year increase. Cumulative vehicle sales reached 151,800 units, showing a 15.4% increase over the same period.

Milestone Overview:
0-1 million vehicles-- 1956: FAW introduced the first Jiefang truck, marking a pivotal moment in China's automotive independence.



1-2 million vehicles-- Late 1970s: The second-generation Jiefang CA141 set new benchmarks for product sophistication and performance.

2-3 million vehicles-- 1990s: The "Liu Ping Chai" series of third-generation Jiefang trucks revolutionized the market with innovative diesel engines and flatbed designs.


3-4 million vehicles-- Early 2000s: The J4 series integrated larger engines and robust transmissions, aligning with post-WTO economic demands.


4-7 million vehicles-- 2007: The J6 series debuted, achieving record sales and pioneering fuel-saving technologies.


7-8 million vehicles-- 2018: FAW transitioned to intelligent transportation solutions with the launch of the J7 series, combining advanced technology with environmental sustainability.



8-9 million vehicles-- 2024: The introduction of the J7 Innovation Edition solidifies FAW's position as a leader in China's commercial vehicle market, emphasizing high-end heavy trucks and global excellence.
