WEICHAI NECV Unveils "WETP" Platform to Upgrade Its CV Lineup
On February 15, WEICHAI New Energy Commercial Vehicle held its 2025 Partner Co-Creation Conference at the company’s headquarters. During the event, it introduced the industry’s first dedicated platform for new energy light trucks—the "WETP" Technology Platform.

The "WETP" platform is designed specifically for new energy light trucks, offering four key advantages: unwavering reliability, exceptional efficiency, advanced safety, and superior comfort. The WETP Platform features a next-generation battery management system that precisely monitors battery health, optimizes charging and discharging, and extends both range and safety. Additionally, the intelligent electric drive system integrates a high-performance motor and cutting-edge electronic controls, ensures strong power output and rapid response. The platform also supports remote monitoring and smart diagnostics, improving reliability and ease of maintenance.

With the "WETP" platform, WEICHAI NECV has upgraded its global product lineup, covering both fuel and new energy vehicles across a 2.5 to 18-ton (gross weight) range. The overseas portfolio includes light trucks, mini trucks, and construction vehicles, offering versatile solutions for urban logistics, last-mile delivery, and construction transport.

EH Series Electric Light Truck: Developed on the WETP platform—the first purpose-built platform for new energy trucks in the industry—the EH Series Electric Light Truck delivers strong power and extended range. It features an optimized battery management system for higher energy efficiency. Additionally, its advanced electric drive technology provides stable, high-performance operation in complex logistics scenarios while enhancing safety, intelligence, and comfort.

H Series Fuel Light Truck: H series Fuel Light Truck delivers a power output range of 110-170 hp, powered by a WEICHAI engine and paired with a FAST gearbox and HanDe axle— a "golden powertrain" renowned for its high efficiency and durability. With precise calibration from WEICHAI’s Powertrain Research Center and Tokyo Innovation Center, it achieves a perfect balance of power, fuel efficiency, transmission performance, and long maintenance intervals, enhancing operational efficiency and reducing overall costs.

ER Series Electric Mini Truck: Built with a self-developed electric system, a high-density battery, the second-generation INOVANCE all-in-one controller, and a HanDe electric axle, the ER Series offers a golden powertrain that delivers up to 200 km of range.

R Series Fuel Mini Truck: It is a compact yet powerful mini truck with outstanding load capacity. Designed for efficiency and agility, it’s the perfect solution for urban transportation.

M Series Construction Truck: Built for the demands of construction and mining, this medium-duty truck delivers powerful performance and exceptional payload capacity to tackle the toughest jobs.

WEICHAI NECV is rapidly expanding its footprint across the Americas, Southeast Asia, West Asia, and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). With a strong commitment to innovation and green mobility, WEICHAI NECV will continue to lead the way in smart, sustainable transportation.
