LANDKING X7 Mountain Terrain Edition Debuts in Kunming, China
On September 23, WEICHAI New Energy Commercial Vehicle (WEICHAI NECV) held a launch event in Kunming, China to introduce the new LANDKING X7 Southwest Mountain Terrain Edition. Logistics companies across Yunnan, truck operators, and industry media attended to witness the unveiling.

Designed for Mountain Roads
The LANDKING X7 Southwest Mountain Terrain Edition was developed after extensive research on Yunnan’s road conditions. It is built to tackle the key challenges of mountain terrain transport, including steep climbs, heavy loads, and reduced engine performance at high altitudes.

Electric Version: Offers 156, 165, or 200 kWh battery options, providing a range of 300–500 km. It comes with either a Bosch 200 kW single-speed motor or a HanDe 185 kW two-speed motor, delivering up to 510 N·m of torque. A reinforced chassis and HanDe 8T rear axle provide strong load-carrying capability.

Diesel Version: Powered by the WEICHAI WP2.5N engine (190 hp/550 N·m), paired with a FAST 8/10-speed gearbox and HanDe 8/10T rear axle. This “low-speed, high-torque” setup handles heavy loads and high-altitude starts with ease.

Tested in Real Conditions
Before the launch, the X7 was tested fully loaded on mountain roads, highways, city streets, and national roads, with air conditioning running throughout. The truck demonstrated excellent endurance and climbing performance. Its energy recovery system worked efficiently on long downhill stretches, while stability and braking remained strong on curves and steep slopes, proving its suitability for demanding mountain terrain transport.

WEICHAI is widely recognized for its reliable and powerful engines. The X7's integration of motor, battery, and control systems ensures both strong climbing performance and energy efficiency, helping operators reduce costs and improve operational efficiency.
During the event, a video highlighted how truck users across China rely on the LANDKING X7. Six Yunnan customers took delivery of their new vehicles, which will immediately begin serving mountain terrain transport routes.

WEICHAI NECV plans to continue developing trucks tailored to the specific needs of Yunnan and Southwest China. The company also aims to expand its service network to support more efficient, green, and smart logistics in mountain terrain regions.
